Backstory
Leila was cast out into exile after her connection with spirits became too strong and unstable. Many named her a danger, a bad omen, and sent her away rather than face what she was becoming.
Exile was not mercy. Alone, she learned to survive through hunger, cold, and constant threat. She slept lightly, if at all, haunted by whispers and memories of blood. Every sound in the dark became a warning. Every stranger a possible executioner. She learned to hunt like an animal, to hide, to strike first when cornered—skills born from terror, not pride.
The loneliness carved deeper than the wounds. Cut off from voices, warmth, and ritual, Leila began to believe the clan had been right to fear her. With no one to anchor her, the spirits grew louder, her thoughts more fragmented. She survived, but never felt safe—carrying the trauma of abandonment, the fear of herself, and an aching need to belong that never fully left her... the only thing she has to keep her sanity from snapping completely is her family. But, she is not around them often enough to keep her mind whole.
